NEC XON supports renewable energy tax rebate.

​In response to the pressing energy crisis facing the country, the South African government is taking steps to bolster the renewable energy sector and alleviate strain on the national grid. As part of this effort, a proposed legislative amendment seeks to provide businesses with a tax incentive to invest in renewable energy – probably including storage, and particularly batteries.

NEC XON provides Malawi Fertilizer Company with Hybrid Power

 NEC XON has provided the Malawi Fertilizer Company (MFC) with a state-of-the-art Hybrid Power System (HPS) to protect MFC’s investment in new infrastructure in Nacala, Liwonde and Blantyre. According to Mark Chapman, MFC Liwonde Plant Manager, the system’s design is comprehensive and of excellent quality - and the NEC XON team’s work ethic is exceptional with problem solving skills par excellence. “No challenge is too big for them. Remote system monitoring is excellent and teams are always on standby to assist,” he says.

The underlying aim was to improve business efficiency on the Nacala corridor. MFC blends and supplies NPK (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium) fertilizer mixtures for the region’s agricultural sector.

NEC XON collaborates with LWUA to ensure consistent water supply

NEC XON Systems, which positions itself as a leading provider of innovative energy solutions, has partnered with the Lebalelo Water User Association (LWUA) to introduce an emergency Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at the Clapham pump station in Limpopo. This collaboration aims to mitigate the risk of water reservoirs running dry due to potential electricity shortages, ensuring a consistent water supply to communities and commercial users across the Sekhukhune District Municipality and the Mogalakwena Local Municipality.
