Leading African integrator of ICT solutions, NEC XON, is pleased to announce the appointment of Thigerson Reddy as Chief Operations Officer (COO). The appointment is effective 1 October 2025. Reddy has been with NEC XON for nearly eight years, most recently serving as Head of Legal & Compliance, where he successfully led the division across Sub-Saharan Africa. During this time, he established a robust compliance framework, guided complex commercial negotiations, and spearheaded strategic initiatives that contributed to NEC XON’s growth and resilience. His proven leadership and strategic vision will be key as NEC XON embarks on its next chapter. Reddy replaces Bart Van Buynder, who tendered his resignation after some 27 years of service after a long-standing role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and his more recent appointment as Chief Operations Officer (COO). Van Buynder will continue to consult to NEC XON as a Strategic Business Partner, ensuring that his deep expertise and leadership insight and institutional knowledge remain accessible as the company moves forward.
With a BCom in Commercial Law from the University of South Africa, Reddy brings extensive experience within the technology sector. His achievements include winning the NEC Global Compliance Excellence Award (2022) and serving on the negotiation teams for landmark deals, including one of the largest power supply agreements in Nigeria and a renewable energy EPC project to build a 1.3MWp solar plant commissioned in 2021. “Thigerson brings strong leadership, strategic insight, and a proven track record that will no doubt serve NEC XON well in this new chapter. His appointment as COO compliments NEC XON’s executive team, and I am confident that his vision and expertise will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward,” concludes Carel Coetzee, Founder & CEO, NEC XON About NEC XON NEC XON is a leading African integrator of ICT solutions and part of NEC, a Japanese global company.
